Swiss Education Group, dominates the world ranking of hospitality schools with all 4 of its schools positioned in the top 8 for the category “Hospitality and Leisure Management” published by the QS Rankings on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Swiss Hotel Management School has even achieved 3rd place, making the school the 2nd best in Switzerland. This performance not only reflects the high standards of the academic offer of each school, but also their solid international reputation with some of the world’s leading employers.

Ranked for the fifth year in a row among the best hotel management schools in the world, Swiss Hotel Management School has taken 3rd place in the QS World Rankings, making it the 2nd best school in Switzerland. The three other schools of Swiss Education Group are all in the top 8: César Ritz Colleges Switzerland—6th, Hotel Institute Montreux—7th, and Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland—8th. The rankings are compiled by higher education analysts who provide an independent comparative analysis based on academic performance criteria and feedback from industry professionals.

This outstanding performance reflects the expertise of the academic faculty and the programs offered. Thanks to partnerships within the academic sector as well as with key players in the industry, Swiss Education Group’s schools offer relevant degree programs, combining theory with practice and emphasizing the employability and personal development of students. Over the years, the group has also developed a strong network of alumni around the world.

“It’s an honor to be recognized once again as a world-class provider of hospitality education. I attribute this performance to our high level of expertise and the relevance of our curriculum, which meets future industry needs in every respect,” affirms Dr. Dominic Szambowski, dean of Swiss Hotel Management School.

It is worth noting that Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland is the only culinary school included in this ranking, a true testament to its world-class standards and Swiss approach to teaching culinary arts. A strong focus on building both practical and business skills ensures that students are well-rounded graduates who go on to become great chefs and establish their own businesses.

These rankings are a statement of the efforts we put into our teaching every day. Each school is committed to maintaining this standard of excellence, while always keeping an eye on the horizon to what is coming ahead. That is why innovation and sustainability are fundamental to our approach and we ensure that these skills are fully integrated into our curriculum,” adds Tanja Florenthal, dean of both César Ritz Colleges Switzerland and Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland.

It is worth noting that Hotel Institute Montreux, 7th in the ranking, stands out for the particularly glowing feedback it received from employers and other partners of the group regarding the skills acquired by its students. This indicator demonstrates the strong appeal of the students’ employability after graduation.

Ulrika Björklund, dean of Hotel Institute Montreux, adds: “We are constantly attuned to the hospitality industry and preparing our students accordingly. This sector is constantly evolving, new positions are being created that didn’t exist before, not to mention issues like digitalization and sustainability, which now play a central role in our programs.”
