Mission Hill Hospitality, a KSL Capital Partners portfolio company focused on transforming select service and extended stay hotel investing, announced it has acquired Homewood Suites by Hilton Cathedral City Palm Springs, a 197-key property in Cathedral City, CA. This is the 19th hotel added to the Mission Hill Hospitality portfolio since the company was launched in March 2021. Terms of the deal are undisclosed.

“With this acquisition, Mission Hill continues to grow our high-quality portfolio of well-located select service and extended stay hotels, particularly in drive-to leisure markets like Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley, which draws nearly four million tourists annually,” said Mike Wilbert, Managing Director, Mission Hill Hospitality. “We’re excited to expand further in another high-demand market in California, having recently invested in the SpringHill Suites Truckee.”

Built in 2017, the Homewood Suites by Hilton Cathedral City Palm Springs has 197 suites with fully equipped kitchens, pet-friendly rooms, over 1,100 sq. ft. in event space across two meeting rooms, a heated outdoor pool, and a 24-hour fitness center. The all-suite hotel is just 10 minutes from downtown Cathedral City, 15 minutes from downtown Palm Springs, 10 minutes from Palm Springs Airport, and a two-hour drive to Los Angeles. Also conveniently located are the Eisenhower Medical Center, Desert Medical Center, JFK Memorial Hospital, and downtown Cathedral City, all within a ten-minute drive.

With its prime location at 67711 30th Avenue, the Homewood Suites by Hilton sits just minutes away from a variety of golf courses, hiking trails, shopping and dining. The Greater Palm Springs area, commonly referred to as “The Golf Capital of the World,” enjoys over 300 days of sunshine each year and is home to over 100 golf courses, including La Quinta Resort & Club at PGA West. The Homewood Suites by Hilton also is conveniently located less than an hour from the Coachella Valley Preserve and Joshua Tree, which draws nearly three million visitors annually. Some of the high-profile events happening annually in the area are the Coachella Music Festival, Stagecoach Country Music Festival, Palm Springs Film Festival, the Desert Classic and a stop on the PGA Tour.

Cathedral City has become a haven for the arts, as a new public arts initiative has helped create a growing art collection in the downtown area, accessible via the "Cathedral City Where ART Lives” app offering a downtown walking tour and city-wide driving tour. Guests can also visit nearby Perez Road, the city’s art and design district.
