LGH Hotels Offer Unsold Rooms to Volunteers as Part of the Room to Reward Scheme

LGH Hotels Management Limited have registered to join the Room to Reward scheme, with participating hotels located all over the country.
Room to Reward is a charity that uses unsold hotel rooms as a ‘thank you’ to volunteers who are making a difference to charities and their communities. Room to Reward are partnered with other 500 hotels throughout the UK, and now LGH hotels too. In the UK, approximately 140,000 hotel rooms are unsold every night, but since these rooms cannot be resold LGH have decided to donate their unsold rooms to the heroes who truly deserve some recognition.
The scheme works whereby a volunteer is nominated by their charity as a ‘Hidden Hero’, who then gets presented with their break. The Hidden Hero picks their hotel, their dates and can then get ready to enjoy their stay. The hotels donates breaks for one or two nights on a Bed & Breakfast basis, subject to their availability basis and suiting the hotel’s needs.
LGH have over 40 hotels in 34 locations nationwide, and more than 7000 rooms. The LGH portfolio includes two brands LGH; featuring various Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels, and Best Western collections.
Simon Teasdale, Chief Executive Officer for LGH Hotels Management Ltd, commented: “We want to honour hard working volunteers who deserve a night or two away from home. That’s why we have signed up with Room to Reward. We believe in their mission, and we want to do everything we can to help out local communities.”
Founder of Room to Reward, Nicolas Roach, says: “We are so happy for LGH to be joining our programme. With LGH partaking, we have more hotels and more rooms for the wonderful volunteers to choose from. Every LGH hotel is unique, with something different to offer every guest who stays with them. LGH will be an amazing addition for our Room to Reward participants.”
LGH Hotels are listed as booking options on the Room to Reward website.
