Introduction

Key elements of Moon World Resorts Inc.’s unique Destination Resort project, MOON, will be sustainability and net zero carbon emissions, deliverable on day one! Multiple leading edge Environmental programs throughout MOON will be overseen by industry expert, David N. Oswald, FRCGS, and his team at Canadian based DE Design + Environment Inc., a globally recognized leader in environmental design practice. MOON will expand the environmental boundaries well beyond current aspirations with an acute focus on demonstrating precisely how and why “it’s not too late for planet Earth.”

Guests will enjoy a life changing experience while the global financial community will derive meaningful benefit from the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) opportunity.

Now or Never

The planet is burning; record breaking temperatures, erratic weather patterns, potable water shortages and disastrous storm events are occurring at much higher frequency than previously recorded. Humankind is finally awakening to the need for urgent sustainable action to address climate change while concurrently delivering much better stewardship of planet Earth. MOON will be a Technology driven Destination Resort derived from excellence in next generation Architecture, Engineering and Design. MOON will also provide an inspiring demonstration of sustainability in “real time,” while cultivating ecological wellness throughout its leading edge interiors delivering green operational excellence and science based innovation. 

Interior

Oxygen, light, and a plethora of sensory functions will be factored into every Architectural, Engineering and Design function throughout MOON. Vendors will be required to follow strict environmental management criteria to include animal welfare, no fur products, ocean wise seafood, free-range, uncaged and absolutely no threatened species available. Adherence to human rights to include a smoke free building envelope. Organic health optimized products will be mandatory. Mind, body and soul nourishment programming will be ubiquitous throughout MOON. A focus on health, wellness and longevity via holistic treatments and related educational conferences, gathering the world’s leading minds together. Guests at MOON will believe they are stepping into the future, and yet they are actually in the present.

Exterior

A LEED Platinum development, MOON will deliver a net zero impact to the environment achieved through an ecosystem-based environmental management approach. MOON’s footprint will be offset by utilizing ecosystem service-based analysis. Biodiversity will be fostered throughout the grounds to include a huge pollinator-friendly planted area. Water management will include 100% grey water filtration re-use and comprehensive rainwater capture systems. 100% of MOON’s energy will be generated via renewable sources (wind / solar / geothermal) and all on-site transportation and climate control will be provided by carbon-free electricity. The green, blue, and circular economies will all converge and blossom. MOON will become the global showcase for how to develop and operate a truly sustainable world class Destination Resort Development and moreover how humankind can actually save planet Earth.

Failure is not an option

Society has reached a tipping point, the clock is ticking, action must be taken without further delay. In 1961 then US President, John F. Kennedy, announced the audacious goal of landing a man on the Moon by the end of the decade. JFK declared “we do this not because it is easy but because it is hard.” Moon World Resorts Inc. will deliver the most spectacular Destination Resort ever conceived and in so doing will bring awareness to millions of annual guests, both subliminally and directly.
