Renowned Lake District hotel signs with Aimbridge EMEA
Aimbridge EMEA has been selected to operate The Belsfield, a prestigious hotel located in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere, the Lake District’s most popular visitor destination.
The EMEA division of Aimbridge Hospitality, formerly known as Interstate Hotels & Resorts, has been appointed by the owners to manage the independent, four-star property.
The Belsfield occupies a prime position on the banks of Lake Windermere and is surrounded by six acres of landscaped gardens. The hotel boasts unrivalled views across the lakes, the mountains and the m oors.
Each year, Bowness-on-Windermere attracts over 16 million visitors, and The Belsfield is the perfect base from which to explore everything that the Lake District has to offer, from walking routes to water sports and boat cruises.
Within the hotel there are 62 stylish and contemporary bedrooms and suites, 25 of which boast stunning views across the lake. There are also five conference suites, which can accommodate up to 120 guests, making The Belsfield a sought-after hotel for weddings of all sizes, from intimate ceremonies to larger celebrations.
David Anderson, Aimbridge EMEA’s divisional president, said: “We’re very proud and excited to welcome The Belsfield into the Aimbridge family.
“This elegant hotel has joined the portfolio at a time of evolution for our business, when we’re ideally positioned to showcase our expertise for delivering the highest operating standards across both branded and independent properties.”
The Belsfield restaurant & brasserie offers a fine dining experience with beautifully crafted menus featuring dishes made using locally sourced ingredients. Afternoon Tea can be taken on the garden terrace amidst sweeping views of Lake Windermere.
The Belsfield is the latest appointment for Aimbridge EMEA, which recently secured the contract to operate the Hilton London T5 hotel at Heathrow Airport – a four-star, 350 bed hotel on a 12.5-acre site, with facilities including five food and beverage outlets and 17 flexible meeting room spaces.
David Anderson continued: “The Belsfield boasts one of the best locations in the Lake District with the most stunning views, and our talented team are dedicated to delivering an unparalleled level of service for owners, employees and guests. We look forward to developing this partnership, and to welcoming more best in class hotels into the growing Aimbridge EMEA portfolio.”
The Aimbridge Hospitality portfolio, inc lusive of managed and pipeline properties, now stands at 1,500 hotels globally. Interstate Hotels & Resorts, which merged with Aimbridge Hospitality in 2019, moved under the Aimbridge corporate identity in October.
