Rosewood Assumes Management of Three Iconic Resorts in New Zealand
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts® today assumed management of three renowned New Zealand resorts, adding Rosewood Kauri Cliffs, Rosewood Cape Kidnappers, and Rosewood Matakauri to its collection. Formerly known as Robertson Lodges, these spectacular lodges, each situated in quintessential destinations, now form an integral part of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ expanding portfolio.
The ribbon cutting of the three lodges took place in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand at Rosewood Cape Kidnappers, with the Robertson family (represented by the three sons of lodge founders, philanthropists and visionaries Julian & Josie Roberston, Spencer, Jay and Alex) officially bestowing the management of their family owned lodges to Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, represented at the official event by Hoss Vetry, Rosewood Hotel Group’s Vice President of Operations for the APAC region.
After a traditional New Zealand Maori blessing, Jay Robertson, on behalf of his family, enthusiastically heralded the three lodges into an exciting new era under the Rosewood management.
The latest milestone of Rosewood’s intentional and ongoing growth strategy, these additions mark Rosewood's entry into the Oceania region.
They also underscore Rosewood’s commitment to championing storied properties in some of the most remarkable destinations around the world.
Rosewood’s entrance into this highly captivating area of the Pacific demonstrates the brand’s commitment to expanding the horizons of ultra-luxury travel. Continuing a strong commitment to instilling its signature A Sense of Place® philosophy, while channeling a differentiated approach to service that has contributed to the collection’s notoriety around the world, Rosewood brings a new level of luxury lifestyle to this destination.
