HAMA Europe is delighted to announce the winner of this years HAMA Europe Student Prize, in its 6th year, following 7 schools’ initial participation and 3 schools making it to the full assignment stage.

HAMA Europe is committed to support schools who inspire students to pursue careers in Hotel Asset Management and launched the Student Prize in 2018 to develop closer collaboration with European hotels schools and students interested in hospitality asset management. Fostering and recognizing future talented Hospitality Asset Managers is what the HAMA Europe Student Prize is all about.

This year’s winning team comes from IMHI of ESSEC Business School and beat off stiff competition from both EHL and Glion, with a difficult investment case study, all teams had to make both a written and live presentation submission to the team of 5 judges, led by Luc Boschmans of Tristan Capital.

The winning team of Camille Marsan, Pierre Lego, Luc Lombard, Olga Rudelou and Alban Sucrot, submission was judged to be most in line with the investor appraisal and covered all required elements including best outcome for owners, risk considerations and ESG commitments, all pulled together in a highly professional “Investment Committee” style approach.

All entries for this our 6th edition, were highly regarded, but ESSEC’s approach and outputs were most impressive, particularly given that this is the first year that they have participated in the program. Luc Boschmans, Managing Director / Equity Partner at Tristan Capital Partners
