Nadi, Fiji – Raffe Hotels & Resorts, a well-established family-owned business with over 50 years of heritage in Fiji, has been honoured with the prestigious Fiji Business Excellence Prize Level Award for 2024.

It is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a Fiji organisation can receive and celebrates Raffe Hotels & Resorts’ dedication to raising standards in Fiji’s hospitality sector and contributing to the broader business community.

This award, which recognises organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and quality in their operations, was presented by His Excellency, the President of Fiji, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere.

Known for its commitment to excellence , the Raffe Group - which includes the family-friendly Plantation Island Resort, the exclusive adults-only Lomani Island Resort & Spa, and the ultra-convenient Fiji Gateway Hotel near Nadi International Airport - has built a solid reputation for delivering memorable holiday experiences with outstanding service and value. 

Reflecting on the recognition, Atlaab Khan, Raffe Hotel & Resort’s Group Manager of Learning, Capability and Quality Assurance, said, I am overjoyed to share the news that Raffe Hotels & Resorts has been awarded this exceptional recognition. Khan, who accepted the award on behalf of Raffe, praised team members across all levels of the hospitality group, crediting their spirit of innovation and collaborative efforts that brought this honour to fruition.
He also recognised the importance of strong leadership within the organisation, sharing, Our CEO, Mr. Lee Pearce, has been an exceptional guiding force, providing the vision and resilience that have shaped our path to excellence. Pearce, in turn, highlighted the collective achievement as a milestone for the Raffe Hotels & Resorts family, saying, This accomplishment is a tribute to our team’s dedication to creating meaningful experiences for our guests, all while embodying our core values of integrity, teamwork, and respect. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together.

This year has been a landmark for Raffe Hotels & Resorts, with key developments across all of its properties.

Fiji Gateway Hotel, the region’s premier airport hotel, has commenced a new two-storey expansion to meet the growing demand of transiting travellers, working to add 47 new guest rooms and suites, offering both comfort and convenience, for completion by October 2025. Earlier this year Plantation Island Resort enhanced its appeal with the launch of the UNESCO-endorsed BULA Reef nursery in collaboration with Corals for Conservation, alongside the opening of the new Jungle Water Park and planned upgrades to pool areas, dining, and rooms. Meanwhile, Lomani Island Resort & Spa, renowned for its adult-only sanctuary, last month announced that it is on schedule to open its new Lomani Spa in December, an exclusive retreat designed around four wellness pillars to offer an immersive, luxury experience.
