Vireo

Vireo is a Certification Body that was established in 2010, located in Padova, in the northeastern region of Italy. With a primary focus on sustainability, the range of services of the Vireo Srl is designed to assist companies and organizations across various industries in implementing sustainable management practices for their businesses and effectively conveying their commitment to sustainability. Vireo offers sustainability certifications across diverse sectors. These certifications encompass FSC® and PEFC chain of custody certifications for the wood and paper value chains, MSC® and ASC® certifications for the fishery sector, as well as ISO certifications (9001-14001-45001) applicable to various business sectors. In 2018, Vireo became the second Certification Body in the world to attain accreditation from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) for Hotels and Tour Operators. Furthermore, in 2019, Vireo received GSTC accreditation for Destinations. Operating on a global scale, Vireo relies on a robust network of partnerships to extend its reach and impact.
