The name of the new system, originally called RezPort, has been changed to RezNet to better define and market it as a "web-centric" car rental and lodging reservations system. RezNet is connected to the world in real-time with the capacity to process over one million transactions every month.

The system provides total connectivity through the Internet. Seamless connectivity contracts have been signed with all of the major Global Distribution Systems for implementation this year. This translates into global reservation processing as travel agents and individual consumers access real-time rates, availability and confirmation numbers. In addition to giving REZlink clients the ability to change rates via the Internet, they will have access to additional features such as inventory control, capacity control and point of sale functionality, allowing for distinct rate control and management approaches. RezNet operates through two IBM Netfinity servers using an Oracle based database and SQL-Plus stored procedures that enable a multi-platform architecture.
