Renaissance Hotels new

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. -- It has been more than a decade since the City of Fort Lauderdale has celebrated the grand opening of a new, full-service luxury hotel. In April 2001, the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel will open its doors and a new standard of excellence will be established in the local hospitality industry.

Located directly across from the Broward County Convention Center on the Southeast 17th Street Causeway, the Renaissance brings its unique design inspired by local flavor that is a trademark for the Renaissance brand, a division of Marriott International, Inc. Renaissance Hotels, Resorts and Suites is known worldwide as having captured the essence of offering guests the body of a full-service hotel, with the soul of a boutique.

"Renaissance is synonymous with distinctive design and unparalleled guest service," says General Manager Christopher Pollock. "Our guests are predominantly business travelers who expect state-of-the-art technology and first-class amenities that Marriott can provide, but want the personal attention to detail and warm hospitality that only a smaller, independent luxury hotel can offer."

The Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel has 233 rooms with facilities that include a 3,800 square foot Grand Ballroom, seven additional meeting rooms, club lounge, private concierge level, a full-service business center, fitness center with sauna and spa, heated outdoor pool, and an upscale, specialty restaurant, Darrel and Oliver's Bistro 17.

"There are many unique aspects of the Renaissance that will make it appealing to our guests," said Pollock. "From the services we offer including our 'Techno-Butler' (a full-time staff person available to assist guests with technology needs), to convenient registration services located on our exclusive concierge level, to the personal attention each one of our guests receives from our entire staff. We want our guests to enjoy their stay here, and to experience business travel in a whole new way. Once our guests step into our lobby, we're going to do everything we can to make their visit to Fort Lauderdale and the Renaissance Hotel a comfortable, unique and memorable experience."

The Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel is owned by Quayside Place Partners, a Broward-based hospitality development firm, and NYSE-listed L.N.R. Property Corporation, Eastern Division. The hotel is managed by Concord Hospitality Enterprises of Cleveland, Ohio.
