COLUMBIA, Md., March 6 / OPUS 2 Revenue Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of MICROS Systems, Inc. MCRS, has completed the development of a new Enterprise Revenue Management System which will be installed on a global basis for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. HOT. Starwood properties include the Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W and Four Points by Sheraton brands. The TopLine PROPHET Enterprise Revenue Management System, a major module of the OPERA Enterprise Solution, has been beta-tested at several of Starwood's North American properties and is scheduled for a company-wide rollout starting immediately. Among the first properties to utilize the new system will be the W San Francisco, the Sheraton Bal Harbour, The Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta and The Westin Horton Plaza in San Diego.

OPUS 2's TopLine PROPHET Enterprise Management System represents the highest level of technology in today's hospitality marketplace. Its client- server system provides centralized yield management over the Internet, Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs), allowing data for multiple hotels to exist in a single database. All updates are automatically distributed from the central server, minimizing the support needed for client workstations.

"When we began working with Starwood on the development of TopLine PROPHET Enterprise, we had an ambitious vision of what this system could do for a global hotel company," said Charles R. Clack, CEO of OPUS 2. "By working closely with executives at Starwood, we have gone far beyond our original concept and now have a system that provides an outstanding centralized solution for maximizing revenues from both transient and group travel markets."

Eric Orkin, President and co-founder of OPUS 2, explained, "This system is based on a sophisticated scalable architecture that gives our product tremendous flexibility and power. TopLine PROPHET Enterprise runs on any platform that supports Java(TM), including Windows®, MacOS, Linux and Sun Solaris(TM). This system also automatically distributes updates to client software, effortlessly keeping all workstations within Starwood's worldwide operations up-to-date on the latest release. TopLine PROPHET Enterprise can grow right along with Starwood's global expansion."

Ed Netzhammer, Starwood's vice president of global revenue management stated, "Starwood has always been committed to providing the best operations' systems for all of our properties around the world. We had many sophisticated requirements for our new revenue management system, and we worked in conjunction with OPUS 2 to develop an excellent product.
