Courtyard "Reinvents" The Hotel Designed By Business Travelers In Arlington, Virginia

WASHINGTON - Marriott International, Inc.
"Courtyard was launched based on the needs and desires of business travelers and now we are reinventing the brand on the basis of new customer research and recent product testing. Our updated design concepts provide greater comfort and functionality to our guests," said Courtyard senior vice president Chad Waetzig.
The new guest rooms and public space have been upgraded with the addition of functional enhancements and new décor and furnishings. Practical additions such as a 24/7 food market and business library, featuring individual workstations with high-speed data ports and ergonomic chairs combine with aesthetic elements including the use of curved surfaces, rich woods, designer fabrics, granite counters and superior lighting.
Courtyard Guestroom Enhancements:
- Improved Workspace - A desk on wheels has been added to provide increased workspace. The desk also doubles as a table that can be moved to eat or work in front of the TV. In addition, new task lighting has been added and extra power outlets are conveniently located at desk level.
- New Beds and Linens - The new bedding package is more comfortable and more inviting with a thicker oversized mattress and enhanced linens, including duvets, new comforters and oversized pillows.
- Bathroom Enhancements - The upgraded bathrooms have a modern, residential look with granite vanities, extra shelves, full-length mirrors, brighter lighting and louvered closet doors.
- High-Speed Internet Access - Courtyard has made it a priority to offer travelers high-speed internet access. Courtyard has more hotels installed with high-speed access than its nearest competitor even has hotels. Many Courtyard hotels also offer wireless internet access in the lobbies and public spaces.
Courtyard has also redesigned its lobbies and public spaces. In addition to the business library and pantry-style, 24-hour "grab and go" food and beverage area, a lounge area where guests can work, meet and dine in a relaxing setting has been added along with a wraparound front desk that allows more guest interaction and personalized service at check in and check out.
Located four miles from Ronald Reagan International Airport and three minutes from downtown, the Courtyard Arlington/Rosslyn offers guests convenient access to Historic Georgetown and Washington, D.C. Rates begin at $179 per night.
The 10-story hotel offers 162 guest rooms featuring either a king-size bed or two queen-size beds.
