BALI, Indonesia--Conrad Hotels, the award-winning luxury collection within the Hilton Family of Hotels, will add another luxury property with the opening of the Conrad Bali Resort & Spa in Indonesia on March 8, 2004.

Hotel Location, Facilities and Services

The contemporary 313-room luxury resort is located on the southern coast of the island of Bali, conveniently situated only 10 km (6 1/4 miles) from the Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar) and next to the Nusa Dua resort area. Secluded, on 6.8 hectares of tropical gardens with lagoons and cascading waterfalls, the resort is complete with a 300-meter beach.

Conrad Bali Resort & Spa is built as a low-rise, E-shaped structure, with three wings of guestrooms and suites connected to a primary public area. This unique design allows each guestroom to have an ocean view. The resort's guestrooms and public areas, with their inviting ambiance, were designed by architects Wimberly, Allison, Tong & Goo from Hawaii.

The interior, by Lim-Teo + Wilkies Design Works, Singapore, reflects a contemporary feel accentuated by warm tones and rich woods. Rooms are wired with the latest communications technology, broadband access and wireless internet in all areas of the hotel – including at the swimming pool.

A range of leisure options for recreation and relaxation include a 33-meter swimming pool, a jogging track with landscaped gardens, a wide range of water sports, floodlit tennis courts, a modern fitness center and the luxurious Jiwa Spa. The Jiwa Spa offers aromatherapy treatments with selections incorporating ancient Indonesian style traditions and rituals. Kura-kura Club, the children's activity program, provides fun-filled hours of activities designed specially for younger guests. There is also a full-service 24-hour Business Center to assist guests with vacation and tour arrangements, in addition to the Conrad Bali's boutiques.

In line with Conrad's meeting facilities worldwide, the Conrad Bali Resort & Spa features versatile conference and banqueting space including a 531-square meter ballroom with a separate entrance, accommodating up to 600 people. For more intimate gatherings, there is a range of small meeting and function rooms.

Culinary Delights

Some of the world's most creative cuisine is on offer at the Conrad Bali Resort & Spa, with an exciting choice of restaurants and bars all meticulously planned and destined to make a big impact with residents of Bali and hotel guests alike. Designs, music and our new approach to service have all been subtly integrated to create unique dining concepts under the guidance of Executive Chef Gary Rosen – Su Ku: for contemporary island cuisine in an elegant al fresco setting and with service around the clock; 8 Degrees South: beach dining, "latitude and attitude," open from midday until dinner; Spice: an upscale offering of Asian cuisine, open for dinner beginning July 2004 =- and two bars – Azure: a sit up pool bar, and East: a Lobby Lounge with nightly entertainment, where a spectacular view is served with every cocktail.
