Fairmont Selects MICROS OPERA for Global Central Reservations

COLUMBIA, Md. | MICROS Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCRS - News), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce that Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Delta Hotels have chosen the MICROS OPERA Reservations System to manage central reservations. The implementation project is currently underway, with a cutover date scheduled for first quarter 2005.
The MICROS OPERA Reservation System (ORS) will be used on a daily basis by approximately 300 Fairmont and Delta reservation agents located in 2 call center facilities in New Brunswick, Canada. Hotel managers will access ORS for reservations and inventory management, while benefiting from next generation seamless connectivity to the GDS. In addition, OPERA's Web Services will facilitate real-time on-line bookings and last-room availability directly from each brand's respective web sites.
