IDeaS a SAS Company

HITEC, Los Angeles, California | IDeaS, the leading provider of revenue optimization solutions and one of the industry’s fastest growing technology companies today announced that Hyatt International is currently converting its existing properties to IDeaS v5i ASP based Revenue Optimization solution, with the Grand Hyatt Singapore leading the way as the first converted site. In addition, Hyatt International plans to add IDeaS to its new hotel openings in 2005 and 2006 in conjunction with the planned conversions. The hotels are located in diverse locations around the world. Hotels that most recently added IDeaS ASP product in 2005 include the Hyatt Regency Perth, Park Hyatt Zurich, and the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme.

Key to meeting Hyatt’s goals was integrating the IDeaS product directly to Hyatt’s proprietary Central Reservation System (CRS), Reserve, allowing Hyatt a single image inventory that can be centrally optimized. Single image inventory enables a hotel chain to centrally consolidate its available rooms so its distribution channels are selling from the same optimized inventory.

For a global company such as Hyatt International the benefits inherent within IDeaS ASP solution were highly desirable. The ability to help their hotels revenue manage their inventory from anywhere, anyplace, anytime has become a necessity.

“Hyatt International has been partnered with IDeaS for several years. Over that time, the key benefit of the relationship has been IDeaS willingness to work with us as our business has continued to evolve,” said Sara Kearney, Vice President of Marketing for Hyatt International. “This latest shift, to IDeaS ASP product with the addition of more Hyatt hotels, is reflective of the ongoing value we have historically received from the system combined with a new ability to transparently optimize all of our available inventory through the IDeaS integration with our CRS. We feel well positioned for the future growth we anticipate.”

“Through our partnership with Hyatt International, IDeaS continues to show that major hotel groups can deploy and operate centralized revenue management extremely efficiently,” said Joseph Martino, IDeaS senior Vice President. “Hyatt International is one of the industry’s most visionary companies, which illustrates their long history of hospitality leadership. As they have in the past, they are setting a new standard and we are convinced that many other hotel chains will explore a similar approach in the future.”
