The Clarendon Hotel and Spa Partners with OpenKey to Elevate its Guest Experience
Innovative technology is user-friendly and increases efficiency
DALLAS, TEXAS – The Clarendon Hotel and Spa, a four-star boutique hotel in the heart of Phoenix, has partnered with OpenKey, the industry standard for universal mobile access in hotels. Hotel guests will be able to bypass the front desk during check-in and access their room with mobile keyless entry. Integrating OpenKey's innovative technology will support the hotel's guest-centric approach and help deliver an experience expected from today's traveler.
At The Clarendon Hotel and Spa guests can take in the beautiful skyline and mountain views at the hotel's SkyDeck rooftop. They've been recognized as having one of the best hotel pools in the city with the award-winning Oasis Pool that features one of the largest water walls in the world, VIP indoor and outdoor luxury cabanas and a 50-person HydroSpa. The full-service spa on-site offers massages, reflexology and aromatherapy treatments. The Clarendon Hotel and Spa offers the perfect blend of luxury, technology and value. Earlier this year, they were voted as one of the best value for hotels in the U.S. by TripAdvisor. Guests can select from three spacious room options with varying amenities and with a central location, can quickly reach the convention center, museums, parks, shopping, theaters, sports venues and concert halls. The property is pet-friendly, allowing a maximum of two dogs per room. Whether it's a trip for business, leisure, or a staycation, guests can truly enjoy The Valley of the Sun at The Clarendon Hotel and Spa.
"As we look to elevate our service, OpenKey's mobile technology will help us deliver a simplified and efficient guest experience," said Charles Morman, General Manager, The Clarendon Hotel and Spa. "Today's traveler wants to save time and enjoy their travel, not wait in check-in lines. We couldn't be happier about adding a tech solution that will ultimately benefit our guests."
The 2018 Fuel Travel Hospitality Technology Study revealed that hoteliers are acutely aware that leveraging technology to improve the guest experience is key. And, a Cornell University's Center for Hospitality study found that just a five-minute wait at check-in can cause guest satisfaction to drop by 50 percent.
"Mobile key technology is a cost-efficient solution for hoteliers that are considering upping their guest experience," said Brian Shedd, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for OpenKey. "It is easy for our partners like The Clarendon Hotel and Spa to integrate into their existing offerings and second nature for hotel guests because their smartphones are part of their everyday lives."
Guests at The Clarendon Hotel and Spa will have the ability to complete check-in remotely, receive a hotel room assignment and bypass the front desk, use their mobile key to access their hotel room and common area doors, all from their mobile device. Additionally, they'll receive hotel directions and free Wi-Fi codes directly to their phone and can inform the property of early or late arrival with a swipe of a finger.
