ITB Berlin 2022: eTravel World announces call for papers
World’s Largest Travel Trade Show invites applications for papers on best practices in Travel Technology +++ Submissions can be made from now until 31 October 2021
From 9 to 11 March 2022 live on the stage of the acclaimed eTravel World segment, the focus will be on how to deal with the long-term fallout of the pandemic. For this reason, ITB Berlin is now inviting papers on the key topic of Travel Technology & Sustainability. Speakers have until 31 October 2021 to secure their slot at the eTravel World.
Taking as its slogan ’Business Education For You’, the eTravel World 2022 will look at the best examples of how to handle the structural changes caused by digitisation and technology in the tourism industry. As well as case studies featuring best practices, the search is on for reports of significant learnings in the sphere of travel technology and digitisation in the travel industry. The key question is ’in what areas and ways does the growing impact of technology make the industry more self-reliant?’.
Under the heading ’Green Travel’, travel start-ups and investors are being invited to report on development chances, entrepreneurship and financing possibilities. Aside from its topic focus, the eTravel World is expressly encouraging female entrepreneurs to contribute and submit their entries. For newcomers, a six-month period of market activity is a minimum requirement, along with a scalable business model.
On 9 March, the eTravel World 2022’s wide-ranging programme will kick off again with the TTA Forum in the Technology, Tours and Activities segment. In order to present their programmes and ideas on the eTravel Stage experts are invited to submit their suggestions for panels and papers. These should cover the latest learnings gained from in-destination services, for example insights into marketing and distribution strategies. A further topic will be the question of safe travel and the nature of tours and experiences both during and after the pandemic.
On Thursday, 10 March, the eTravel Stage programme will feature the DATA TALKS. Applicants are invited to present practical applications and concrete learnings regarding service and process optimisation through personalised service, frictionless travel, the Internet of Things and machine learning. Further topics will include big data and open data, with their advantages on the one hand and challenges on the other.
ITB Berlin is looking for hospitality experts to hold presentations at the Hospitality Tech Forum on 11 March. Lecture topics here will include hotel technology trends, sales and direct distribution, guest experience technology for a safe visit, as well as optimisation, connectivity and scalability of the hotel technology stack.
