Key Takeaways

  • Get ready to reflect on old memories and create new ones, only on Airbnb.
  • Join Joy and her crew of emotions at Headquarters, just in time for the release of Inside Out 2, only in theaters June 14.

Inside Out fans ready to tap into their emotions can join Joy and a few new faces (did someone say Anxiety?) for a fun-filled stay at the crew’s Headquarters, hosted by none other than Joy herself.

Since Riley’s earliest memories, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust have been by her side to help manage all of her emotions. Now, as Riley transitions into her teenage years, get to know her new emotions, including Anxiety, Ennui, Envy, and Embarrassment on a whole new level. Guests will have the opportunity to take over the crew’s control panel and see what makes each emotion tick as they spend the night in emotional HQ.

I can’t WAIT for you to see what we have in store at Team Riley Headquarters, it’s gonna be AWESOME!! You’ll absolutely LOVE what we’ve done with the place, and who knows, maybe you’ll create a new core memory of your own during your stay! I’m getting giddy just thinking about it!! Now come on, what are you waiting for?! Joy with buzzing excitement

About the Stay

This summer, Joy is inviting guests into her crew’s emotion-packed Headquarters for 15 total one-night stays occurring July 1 to July 16 for four guests each at $0 a night. Guests can get ready to create new memories during their stay, including:

  • Take the helm of Riley’s control center and play with all of Riley’s emotions. Well, maybe play isn’t the right word. You can totally have fun, just… you know. Be cool. It’s fine. I’m fine.
  • Unpack some literal emotional baggage in a feelings-filled scavenger hunt! I LOVE scavenger hunts. AND emotions! Perfect combo. And if you follow it ‘til the end, you might unlock some secrets. Just saying…
  • I created a special pizza delivery menu for you because, duh, pizza = pure happiness. Each topping will represent your favorite emotion! Guess which one broccoli represents—disgust. (Barf.)
  • Guess what, sports fans?! I set up Riley’s favorite sport in the living room—hockey! Well, sort of. It’s air hockey. Like the real thing, only airier!
  • Get some inspiration from HQ’s memory walls and then MAKE YOUR OWN MEMORY ORB!!! Usually we don’t let those suckers leave HQ, but for you, I’ll allow it.

Grab your best buds and get ready to feel all the feels—just in time for the release of Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2, only in theaters on June 14.

About Airbnb.org

Airbnb.org is a nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating temporary stays for people in times of crisis around the world. Airbnb.org operates independently and leverages Airbnb, Inc.'s technology, services, and other resources at no charge to carry out Airbnb.org's charitable purpose. The inspiration for Airbnb.org began in 2012 with a single host named Shell who opened up her home to people impacted by Hurricane Sandy. This sparked a movement and marked the beginning of a program that allows Hosts on Airbnb to provide stays for people in times of need. Since then, the program has evolved to focus on emergency response and to help provide stays to evacuees, relief workers, refugees, asylum seekers, and frontline workers fighting the spread of COVID-19. Since then, Hosts have offered to open up their homes and helped provide accommodations to 100,000 people in times of need. Airbnb.org is a separate and independent entity from Airbnb, Inc. Airbnb, Inc. does not charge service fees for Airbnb.org supported stays on its platform.
