Leading hotel management company Remington Hospitality announces its new oversight of Lucha Rosa, the rooftop restaurant and bar at the 200-room Moxy Washington, DC Downtown. As the heart of downtown Washington, DC undergoes revitalization, Remington Hospitality is thrilled to assume management of the popular bar and restaurant. With a revitalized perspective, the management team will introduce a new menu, cocktail offerings, and unique entertainment options.

Prominently situated atop Moxy Washington, DC Downtown, Lucha Rosa offers an all-season rooftop experience with a retractable roof and indoor/outdoor seating. The lounge's vibrant ambiance, colorful decor, and lively music draw inspiration from Mexican and Latin American culture. The venue’s open-air terrace, which features glass-enclosed torches, provides guests with breathtaking views of the nearby Washington Monument and spectacular sunsets, creating a uniquely playful and inviting atmosphere. This rooftop oasis is also ideal for intimate receptions, larger celebrations, and parties.

“Lucha Rosa’s Oaxacan-inspired decor takes cues from Southern Mexico, with magenta flowers and decor aimed at mimicking the area's colorful scenery,” said Amanda Mauceri, Senior Vice President of Development at Dauntless Hospitality Advisors, the advisory firm spearheading the revitalization. “Its lively, playful atmosphere also alludes to Mexican wrestling culture, with “Lucha Rosa” translating to ‘pink struggle’. Already a beloved staple of DC’s nightlife scene, we look forward to Remington Hospitality’s involvement moving forward.”

The rooftop's new menu focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients, with lite fare offerings such as ceviches, crudos, salads, and tacos. The forthcoming cocktail menu will feature over 65 tequila varieties and 30 mezcal spirits. Signature cocktails, nonalcoholic beverages, and key dishes like pork belly tacos and handcrafted guacamole make Lucha Rosa a destination for locals and hotel guests.

"We're thrilled to bring Remington Hospitality onboard to relaunch Lucha Rosa, which has become a mainstay of downtown Washington DC,” said Shaune Johnson, Area General Manager at the Moxy Washington. “In bringing a new perspective to this space, our goal is to create a lively and welcoming environment where guests can enjoy great food, drinks, and entertainment with stunning views of the downtown area."

Remington Hospitality's management of Lucha Rosa will include aligning with local organizations, such as Destination DC and the Downtown Business Improvement District, to engage with the community and attract additional tourism. Remington will also offer incentives to neighboring apartment buildings, hosting monthly 'loca locales' nights with special pricing for residents. Lucha Rosa is also a designated safe space for members of the LGBTQ+ community.

In addition to Lucha Rosa, Moxy Washington, DC Downtown offers Parlour Victoria, a sophisticated environment ideal for private events. Located in a historic 19th-century townhouse adjacent to the hotel, the two-story event space features a traditional parlor, a multi-level patio overlooking K Street, and a specialty bar that provides the perfect space for intimate affairs in a unique, exclusive atmosphere.
