Andrew Zarzosa has been appointed as Executive Chef at Fairmont Jakarta

Fairmont Jakarta welcomes Andrew Zarzosa as executive chef. Zarzosa will lead the culinary team to provide world-class gastronomical experiences by creating and maintaining a distinctive dining experience. He will oversee all culinary related operations and will provide strategic leadership towards a successful hotel opening. With more than 12 years of experience in culinary, Zarzosa is joining the company from The Address Dubai Mall Hotel where he held the position of executive chef since 2012.

Carlos Monterde has been named General Manager at Fairmont Jakarta

Moving on from the Raffles City complex in Singapore is Carlos Monterde. Formerly the hotel manager at Fairmont Singapore, he is now the general manager of Fairmont Jakarta. Monterde will be responsible for providing leadership at the hotel, scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2015. Outside of work, he devotes his time to training for triathlons and has participated in the Full Ironman Western Australia.

Tate Husband has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Fairmont Jakarta

The newest addition to the Fairmont Jakarta is Tate Husband, who has taken on the role of director of sales and marketing. Husband’s role involves the conceptualization of sales and marketing strategies and their implementation for the pre-opening of this hotel, slated for 2015. Husband arrives from Swissôtel Grand Shanghai where he was director of sales and marketing.

Patrick Murray has been appointed as General Manager at Alila Jakarta

Patrick has over 30 years experience in the hospitality industry.He started his career with the Intercontinental Hotel in London before going on to work in some of the capital’s most recognised hotels, including The Ritz Hotel, The Berkeley, Hyatt Carlton Tower and the Hyde Park Hotel before moving to Australia where he was part of the opening team for the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne. Patrick has garnered extensive international experience during his career having worked in China, Bahrain, Oman, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Cambodia, Bali and Boracay. He was also part of the opening teams for the Prince Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, the Legends Hotel on Australia’s Gold Coast and Palazzo Versace, the first Versace hotel in the world. Throughout his career, Patrick has received numerous awards for his ability to recognize and nurture developing talent, this will continue to be a strong focus in his new role at Alila Jakarta, alongside the day to day operations of this 245 room design hotel.
